James Shand was born in in Fife, son of a farmer and later lived in Auctermuchty. This is a short video of a larger than life sized sculpture of Shand. Jimmy started with the mouth, learned to play the fiddle but switched to the British button accordian, an instrument he stuck with for the rest of his life.Listen to Jimmy Shand on Google play
